Vision 2008 Conference
Vision 2008 Conference: Love Jesus, Build Movements. This year at the conference we had about 300 students from all regions in Thailand, as well as 27 students from Laos. I was especially excited for the Laotian students because for most this was their first time to worship God in a public setting at any volume they wanted. The church in Laos is underground and from what we are told people have died for being Christians. It was also a great blessing for the Thai students to understand the great privilege of living in a country that has freedom of religion.
The format of the conference was a little different this year. Instead of spending hours in group sessions, the day included several hours of small group time by campus. It provided the opportunity to study the Bible together and hash things out together. I would also like to add that I am extremely grateful that all of our students speak English with such excellent skill.
